Call for JWPHPT Associate Editor

Are you passionate about advancing Women’s & Pelvic Health Physical Therapy? We are seeking an Associate Editor to join our team and help shape the future of the field.

At the Journal of Women’s & Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (JWPHPT), our mission is to promote evidence-based practices and drive innovation in women’s and pelvic health physical therapy. As an Associate Editor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our vision by leading manuscript reviews, contributing to strategic planning, and serving as a Journal Ambassador to foster connections and expand our readership.

Responsibilities

Peer Review:

  • Invite reviewers appropriate for the manuscript content.

  • Evaluate reviewer responses.

  • Recommend manuscript decisions to the Editor-in-Chief. 

Editorial Advisers:

  • Participate in editorial board meetings and strategic planning.

  • Identify areas of content growth and acquisition. 

  • Assist with reviewer training. 

Journal Ambassadors:  

  • Foster potential authors, readers, reviewers, and subscribers via various means

  • Promote the submission of high-quality manuscripts to JWPHPT.

  • Encourage colleagues to read, cite, and include JWPHPT in their social media posts.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a licensed physical therapist with expertise in women’s health and pelvic care, meeting the following criteria:

  • Academic Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc, etc.) 

  • 3 or more peer-reviewed publications

  • Experience in manuscript review

  • Must be a current member of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and be able to maintain membership throughout service
