Affiliated Organizations

American Physical Therapy Association
The Academy is a component association of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the professional organization for more than 100,000 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students of physical therapy.
While the Academy operates under the APTA umbrella, it has its own Board of Directors, operations, strategic plan, member benefits, and programming. To become an Academy member, individuals must also be members of APTA and their APTA state chapter.

International Organization of Physiotherapists in Pelvic & Women’s Health
The Academy is an organization member of the International Organization of Physiotherapists in Pelvic & Women’s Health (IOPPWH).
IOPPWH’s mission is to serve as the international voice of physiotherapists working in pelvic and women’s health, helping connect professionals across countries and practice settings.

The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is an Allied Health Partner of Urogynecology, the official journal of the American Urogynecologic Society. Urogynecology is a leading monthly peer-reviewed publication dedicated to specialists, physicians, and allied health professionals involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of female pelvic floor disorders.
