Supporting the Future of Pelvic Health Research: FPTR's 2026 Pelvic Health Award Recipient

The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is proud to support the Pelvic Health Award, a 2026 Promotion of Doctoral Studies Scholarship from the Foundations for Physical Therapy Research. This award supports a scholar whose work focuses on advancing pelvic health physical therapy.

Lauren Van Valkenburgh, PT, DPT, a doctoral candidate at the University of Colorado, Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus, received the 2026 Pelvic Health Award, supported in part by the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Endowment Fund, for her focus on Examining the Relationships Between Bladder Dysfunction, Activity, and Sleep Behaviors for People with MS.
