Evolving with the Profession - Introducing the New CAPP Certificate Titles

The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is excited to share an important update with you regarding the CAPP certificate program.

The CAPP certificates have been officially renamed to Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health or Obstetric Health (CAPP-Pelvic or CAPP-OB)!

Why the Name Change?

These new names better reflect the advanced level of clinical knowledge and consistency between the two certificate programs.

Former Names:

Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic)

Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy (CAPP-OB)

New Names:

Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health (CAPP-Pelvic)

Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Obstetric Health (CAPP-OB)

Current CAPP Recipients

All previously earned certificates are grandfathered under the new names. To date, there are 686 CAPP-Pelvic certified PTs and 301 CAPP-OB certified PTs. If you have previously achieved CAPP-Pelvic or CAPP-OB, you can now download your updated certificate here: www.aptapelvichealth.org/capp

New Digital Badges!

On Friday, June 20, 2025, you should have received a digital badge from our official provider via email.
