Professional Bio

I am Mays Abu Gharbieh, a Palestinian physiotherapist, entrepreneur, & founder of Fizik Clinic & Academy, with over 16 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, rehabilitation, & professional education. My clinical work specializes in women’s pelvic floor dysfunctions, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, chronic pelvic pain, urinary dysfunctions, postpartum rehabilitation, & complex musculoskeletal pain conditions.
Throughout my career, I have worked in medical & academic settings, including contributing to teaching & research assistance at Al-Quds University. My work integrates evidence-based physiotherapy with a biopsychosocial approach that views the body, mind, & quality of life as interconnected parts of healthcare.
In 2016, I specialized in women’s pelvic health physiotherapy & TMJ rehabilitation, & later played a leading role in advancing pelvic floor physiotherapy in Palestine through clinical practice, professional education, & community awareness initiatives. In 2017, I founded Fizik Clinic & Academy, a specialized center dedicated to physiotherapy treatment, professional development, & health education.
I hold multiple international certifications in pelvic health, dry needling, manual therapy, TMJ rehabilitation, & musculoskeletal rehabilitation from many institutions across the world.
In 2019, I became the first Arab international instructor with (ODNS), contributing to the development of dry needling education in Palestine & Jordan. I have also participated as a speaker in local & international conferences focusing on rehabilitation, pain science, women’s health, & TMJ disorders.
Beyond clinical & educational work, I actively contribute to community health initiatives, including developing physiotherapy & sports injury prevention services within the Palestine Marathon since 2018.
My vision is to continue advancing physiotherapy education, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, & patient-centered healthcare locally & internationally.
