Professional Bio

Yolanda graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2004. Her bachelor’s degrees are in Exercise Science and Psychology. She is a 500-Hour Certified Pilates Instructor and Master Water Fitness Instructor. As a physical therapist for over 20 years, she has had the benefit of practicing in various settings, learning from other highly skilled clinicians and holding titles ranging from staff physical therapist to Regional Rehabilitation Director. As a director, she created evidence-based practice protocols and guidelines in collaboration with physicians utilizing a compressive approach to care. She is dedicated learner and teacher often traveling to take, teach or attend classes and conferences as a member of various professional organizations. Creating a private practice and studio that truly utilizes the whole-body approach to bridge the gap in traditional healthcare models has been a lifelong aspiration.
She specializes in pelvic health and rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, balance training, core stabilization, pain management and holistic patient centered care. She has a special interest in working with underserved populations including teens and adults with Scoliosis, Spina Bifida, Complex mixed neurological and orthopedic diagnosis. She believes in empowering her clients and patients with the skills and knowledge to better understand their bodies who at times present with multiple issues that are often related. She is passionate about helping her patient and client with making educated choices to improve their overall health. She believes that everybody can safely improve overall health, longevity and utilizing the principles and work of Joseph Pilates and other pioneers that focus on body awareness and breath-work.

All of our physical therapy sessions are one on one, private and personalized care. We treat any and all physical therapy issues, but also specialize in Pelvic Health and Vestibular Physical Therapy. Our clinic takes a more holistic approach than traditional outpatient physical therapy clinics through treating the body as a whole (and incorporating Pilates equipment into personalized care!)
