Think a compression pump alone is enough for lymphedema management? Think again. 💡
Compression pumps can be a valuable tool, but they work best as part of a comprehensive treatment plan—not as a standalone solution.
The gold standard for lymphedema treatment is Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), which includes:
✨ Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) performed by a certified lymphedema therapist
✨ Compression therapy
✨ Exercise and movement
✨ Skin care and self-management education
MLD helps direct lymphatic fluid toward healthy drainage pathways, while compression helps maintain those results and prevent fluid from returning.
The best outcomes happen when treatment is individualized to your body, symptoms, and stage of lymphedema.
A pump can be a great addition to your home program, but expert assessment and guidance are what help you get the most effective, long-term results. 🌿

Still leaking urine after you pee? 🚽💧
Before you rush back to your day, try this simple trick: double voiding.
After you finish urinating, stand up, move around for a few seconds, then sit back down and try again. This can help empty any urine that may have been left behind and reduce those annoying dribbles that happen right after leaving the bathroom.
✨ No straining.
✨ No pushing.
✨ Just give your bladder a second chance to fully empty.
If you’re consistently dealing with post-void dribbling, urinary urgency, or leakage, it may be a sign that your pelvic floor, bladder habits, or coordination need a closer look.
Small changes can make a big difference—and pelvic floor therapy can help you figure out why it’s happening in the first place.

Getting “cleared” at 6 weeks postpartum doesn’t automatically mean your body is fully ready for high-impact exercise, running, heavy lifting, or intense core work. 👀
That visit usually checks medical healing—not how your:
✨ pelvic floor is functioning
✨ core is coordinating
✨ pressure is being managed
✨ body is tolerating movement
Leaks, heaviness, pain, doming, or pressure during workouts are signs your body may need more support.
A pelvic floor PT/OT can help guide you safely back into exercise with a plan tailored to your recovery—not just a timeline. 🌿
Before you buy another pelvic floor gadget… hear me out. 👀
Not every pelvic floor problem is caused by weakness.
Sometimes the issue is actually:
✨ too much tension
✨ poor coordination
✨ breath and pressure management
✨ nervous system dysregulation
So if you’ve been doing endless Kegels or trying every “trainer” online without real improvement in leaking, urgency, constipation, or pelvic pain… your body might be asking for something completely different.
A pelvic floor assessment helps figure out what’s actually going on so treatment is tailored to YOU—not a one-size-fits-all gadget. 🌿
Your pelvic floor deserves more than guesswork. 💫

Leakage during running isn’t just about “weakness.”
It’s usually a sign that your pelvic floor and core aren’t coordinating well with the forces and pressure of impact.
Running = repeated ground reaction forces + pressure changes.
If your system can’t manage that pressure efficiently, symptoms like leaking can show up.
Your body might be telling you:
✨ Your pelvic floor is overactive or fatigued
✨ Your breathing and core aren’t syncing with movement
✨ You’re creating too much downward pressure with each stride
✨ Your hips, glutes, or foot mechanics aren’t supporting you well
More Kegels isn’t always the answer.
In many cases, the focus needs to be on timing, coordination, and pressure management—not just strength.
What can help:
✔ Exhaling with impact (like foot strike)
✔ Improving hip and glute strength
✔ Addressing running mechanics and cadence
✔ Learning how to fully relax and engage the pelvic floor
✔ Building up load and intensity gradually
You don’t have to stop running—but you also don’t have to ignore the symptoms.
Your body is giving you information. The right support can help you run confidently again. 🏃♀️✨

Your bladder doesn’t work in isolation—it’s part of a system that includes your spine, pelvis, nerves, and surrounding muscles.
When the spine (especially the low back and sacrum) gets stiff, it can affect how the nerves that communicate with the bladder function. Limited spinal mobility can also change how pressure moves through the abdomen and pelvis, which may contribute to symptoms like urgency, frequency, or difficulty fully emptying.
In pelvic floor physical therapy, we don’t just look at the pelvic floor—we assess how the spine, hips, breathing patterns, and movement strategies all work together.
Sometimes improving spinal mobility and coordination can make a noticeable difference in bladder symptoms.
Your pelvic floor is connected to more than you think.
