Professional Bio
I have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and have completed extensive post doctoral training in pelvic floor physical therapy and conditions related to pain, bowel and bladder health, as well as pregnancy and postpartum care. With over 17 years experience as a yoga teacher, my holistic approach to wellness allows me to integrate a cohesive blend of evidence-based clinical research, manual therapy, mindfulness, and breath practice into patient care and yoga classes. I am passionate about working with the whole person, not just the symptoms, to support living more fully in your body for an engaging healthy life.
I am the founder of White Pine Physical Therapy and Yoga, PLLC. Additionally, I was the program lead/founder for the Interprofessional PT and Urogynecological Postpartum Clinic at NorthShore University Health System in Skokie, IL which focuses on early postpartum interventions for people with third or fourth degree obstetric perineal lacerations.
I have experience working in hospital based inpatient and outpatient clinics as well as private practice settings. I have had amazing teachers and mentors along the way, and value my continued drive to learn and engage professionally. I am an active member of both the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and the American Physical Therapy Association of Washington.
I teach workshops and classes in areas that focus on pelvic floor health education. I live on Bainbridge Island with my husband and two young daughters where I enjoy playing with my family, exploring the coast and forest, cooking, and reading.
