Professional Bio
Kristen received her Bachelor of Exercise Science from the University of Georgia, Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercer University, & completed Residency in Women’s Health Physical Therapy at Penn. She has completed additional advanced post-professional training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. Kristen was a co-presenter at the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Fall Symposium detailing a framework built to provide support, connect patient’s to providers, and educate them during the perinatal time period. She has also guest lectured at Neumann University about pelvic floor PT during pregnancy.
Kristen specializes in pelvic health, treating all genders and symptoms relating to bowel, bladder, and sexual function. She has particular interests in pelvic pain, pregnancy, postpartum, labor preparation, pelvic organ prolapse, and gender affirming care. Additionally, Kristen enjoys providing support to individuals following cancer treatment, including breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema management.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Kristen is passionate about helping others and creating a space where patients can feel listened to and validated. She has a background as a competitive gymnast and believes that movement is medicine. She is passionate that the pelvic floor is often the missing link in a complex puzzle of symptoms that are just not improving. Her mission is to treat patients holistically and facilitate their understanding, self-efficacy, and management of their condition.
