Professional Bio

Dr. Zimmern earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She has advanced training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of pelvic health conditions, including pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and bowel disorders, sexual health concerns, Interstitial Cystitis (IC), and chronic pelvic pain. She is also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) and provides pessary fittings for the conservative management of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.

With over a decade of experience treating individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), Dr. Zimmern has made care for this community a dedicated area of specialization. She is a Finding Functional Foundation Certified Provider, further strengthening her expertise in evidence-based hypermobility care. Through her participation in Ehlers-Danlos Society programs, including the EDS ECHO clinician series, she continues to advance advocacy, education, and awareness throughout the Gulf Coast region.
