Pregnancy & Postpartum Special Interest Group Virtual Member Meet & Greet

The Pregnancy & Postpartum Special Interest Group (PPSIG) Virtual Member Meet & Greet was an opportunity for members to connect with colleagues who share a passion for advancing pregnancy and postpartum physical therapy practice. This interactive virtual event will provide a welcoming space for networking, discussion, and collaboration among clinicians, educators, researchers, and students across a variety of practice settings. Attendees learned more about PPSIG initiatives, member resources, and upcoming events while engaging in conversations about current trends, challenges, and opportunities in pregnancy and postpartum care. Participants also had the chance to build professional relationships, exchange ideas, and discuss ways to become more involved within the PPSIG.

Elizabeth Northrop, PT, DPT

Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist

Beth Northrup is a board-certified women’s health clinical specialist with expertise in obstetric physical therapy and advancing evidence-based care for birthing individuals. She practices in acute care at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital, one of the nation’s largest perinatal centers, where she has expanded physical therapy services for pregnant and postpartum patients and strengthened continuity of care across settings. Beth also serves as Program Coordinator for the University of Central Florida/Orlando Health Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency, designing innovative training across both acute and outpatient environments. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Healthcare Administration to further improve access to comprehensive maternal care.
