Optimizing Postpartum Care Article Review

The webinar outlined “Optimizing Postpartum Care” from the Committee of Obstetrics Practice. As pelvic health specialists, the importance of providing continuity of care with obstetric providers was emphasized. The advantage of duration and frequency of care with postpartum patients was highlighted to monitor symptoms, provide patient education, and act as a liaison between the patient and physician.

The webinar focused on some standards of postpartum care and how physical therapists can act as part of an interdisciplinary team.
