Professional Bio

Niki is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with over 15 years of experience working in the areas of pelvic health and TMJ. She received her BA in Psychology from Denver University in 2004 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from CU Anschutz Medical Campus in 2013. She received extensive mentorship in the areas of pelvic health and TMJ for 5 years from Dawn Sandalcidi, PT, RCMT, BCB-PMD and Dr. Lori Buxton, PT, DPT, WCS. Dr. Popper's post-doctoral continuing education has focused on pre-natal and post-partum care, pelvic pain with an emphasis on neuralgias, incontinence, prolapse, bowel dysfunction, pathology of the spine and treatment of the jaw (TMJ) and trigger point dry needling with neuromodulation. She holds a Level 2 certification from Kinetacore to perform Functional Trigger Point Dry Needling (TPDN) and an Advanced Dry Needling and Neuromodulation Certification from PPHC allowing her to perform TPDN with neuromodulation to the pelvic floor and TMJ musculature. She is a certified mat and reformer Pilates instructor through PHI Pilates and the National Pilates Certification Program. She serves as the pelvic health patient educator for HCA Health 1 Hospitals in Colorado and teaches a bi monthly, live, virtual class to pregnant and postpartum individuals on pelvic health implications of pregnancy and postpartum. She engages in a variety of public speaking events for practitioners and patients including the Lichen Sclerosus Support Network Holistic Healing Summit in May 2025 and OBGYN Grand Rounds at Rose Hospital in July 2024. Dr. Niki lives in Denver with her husband, son and twin daughters.
