Transitioning from a Student to a Clinician in Pelvic Health PT
Jillian Watson, PT, DPT, will discuss her journey from PT student to full-time pelvic health PT. She will touch which pelvic health courses to take and how to find them, her pelvic health clinical rotation, and how she decided to accept a full-time Pelvic Health position as a new graduate. She will also talk about the mentorship and guidance offered to her entering this specialty field right out of school. Students will gain knowledge about how to find courses, jobs, and mentorship in pelvic health physical therapy. They will learn about how to start in the field as a new graduate.

About the Presenter
Jillian Watson, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist at Southern Pelvic Health. She graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercer University in 2022. Jillian has previously served on the Student Specialist Interest Group at the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy., Haley is a third year DPT student at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. She currently serves as an APTA Student Special Interest Group Director. Haley has taken her APTA Pelvic Health Level 1 course and plans to complete a clinical rotation in Pelvic Health next Spring. In her free time, Haley works part-time at Pure Barre and likes to spend time at the lake with her family and 4 dogs.
