This book club event will introduce the book and its author, The New Perimenopause by Dr. Mary Claire Haver, MD. Dr. Jadyn Crooch, PT, DPT, will then share her top five takeaways from the book, followed by an open discussion for guests to share their own takeaways.

The discussion will then focus on how attendees can apply what they learned from the book to the evaluation and treatment of women ages 35–65. The event will conclude with an open Q&A focused on perimenopause and menopause.

  1. Effects of perimenopause on bone health - how we will adapt treatment plan
  2. Effects of perimenopause of psychosocial factors - how will this effect prognosis and evaluation of patients
  3. Effects of perimenopause on cardiovascular health - how we will adapt treatment to improve outcomes
  4. Effects of perimenopause of muscle - how we should educate patients on nutrition and training principles during this time
  5. Effects of perimenopause of estrogenic pain receptors - how we will use pain management strategies to improve outcomes
