Free Webinar | Navigating the Clinic as a Disabled Physical Therapist
Hosted by the IDEA Committee
In pelvic physical therapy, our patients have a wide range of abilities. So do we. This panel event aims to support, connect, and empower physical therapists (PTs) with disabilities, provide discussion for how best to support your own needs as you support your patients, and allow employers to better understand how to support staff PTs with disabilities.
This event aims to support pelvic PTs who have a disability. This webinar will include a discussion of the common impairments with various disabilities that can affect physical therapists, possible adaptations to allow for better participation in the necessary activities of a PT, and ways to advocate for oneself in the workplace. This panel will be followed by a time for questions and discussion.
Learning Objectives
- Identify 3 PT activities that can be impacted by disability
- Identify 3 options for adaptations in the workplace
- Identify at least one option to discuss workplace adaptations between staff members
