Call for Virtual Pop-Up Proposals | Pregnant & Powerful: Exercise in Pregnancy Updates for 2027
Seeking engaging and innovative presentations!
About the Virtual Pop-Up
Exercise recommendations during pregnancy have undergone a significant evolution over the past decade. While previous guidance focused primarily on the safety of moderate aerobic activity, emerging evidence has expanded our understanding of resistance training, athletic participation, load management, and exercise prescription across the continuum of pregnancy.
This Virtual Pop-Up will provide an evidence-based update on the current literature surrounding exercise during pregnancy, with emphasis on studies published since the development of the 2019 Canadian Guidelines and current ACOG recommendations.
We are seeking presentations that provide an up-to-date review of the literature and practical clinical applications related to exercise during pregnancy. Presentations should emphasize current evidence, practical clinical application, and strategies that can be immediately implemented by physical therapists working with active adults and athletes throughout pregnancy.
This virtual pop-up is currently scheduled for Tuesday, May 4- Thursday, May 6, 2027.
