Nijiera earned a degree in exercise science and biology from Georgian Court University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences. She has advanced training and certification in both hip preservation and differentiation of hip and sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

Her primary area of interest and specialization is sports injuries. Nijiera is a member of the Origin West Loop pelvic floor team where she helps patients with pelvic and perineal pain; post-partum management; post-partum return to sport; pregnancy, labor and delivery preparation; and stress, urge and mixed incontinence issues.

Nijiera is involved in teaching and research involving hip preservation and vestibular conditions, and she has presented research at national meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and a fellow in the Texas Physical Therapy Association.

In her free, time Nijiera enjoys weightlifting, shopping and going home to visit family, friends and her dog.
