Professional Bio
Vanessa (she/her) graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and returned to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She holds an advanced certification in pelvic health to further expand her ability to treat pelvic health related conditions experienced by all individuals. Vanessa has prepared and delivered presentations to multiple rehabilitation departments as a student PT regarding transgender patient care and gender inclusivity in healthcare. Vanessa’s practice also focuses on orthopedics and sports related conditions which dates back to her career playing Big 10 women’s rugby at Rutgers University. She prioritizes a treatment method that integrates the best available evidence with each patient's values. She understands how intimidating asking for and receiving care can be, and strives to create an environment where patients can discuss their goals and concerns without judgment. Vanessa is fluent in Spanish, loves trying new recipes, going to concerts, and walking dogs in her free time.
