A case study will be used to educate students on chronic male pelvic pain/chronic prostatitis. This comprehensive webinar aims to focus on examination, differential diagnoses, multimodal treatments, and multidisciplinary approaches, so students feel equipped to manage the complexities of the diagnosis.

Speakers
Elizabeth Levay, PT, DPT, PhD, Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist
Dr. Levay earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown College in 2012, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017, and a PhD in Health Professions Education in 2022, both from Bellarmine University. She is a Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist. Dr. Levay is a full-time faculty member at Bellarmine University, where she teaches a variety of courses related to musculoskeletal, research, and pelvic health content. Her research interests include pelvic health simulation, understanding barriers to addressing sexual health, and holistic care for individuals with connective tissue disorders. She also currently works in a private practice outpatient clinic as well as a Senior Care Center, treating adult patients with pelvic floor diagnoses. Dr. Levay previously served as the Kentucky State Representative for the Academy of Pelvic Health and is currently one of the co-Directors of the Male Health Special Interest Group.
Kristen Vick, PT, DPT, Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist
Kristen is a physical therapist who received her undergraduate degree in Health Education & Exercise Science from Georgia College & State University in 2010 and a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 2013. Following graduation Kristen practiced in the outpatient pediatric and adolescent setting for 6 years. She is currently practicing in a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation clinic at Spartanburg Regional Health System focusing on treating patients of all genders with pelvic health concerns. She became certified as a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women's Health in 2023. Kristen is the current president of APTA South Carolina as well as the current co-chair of APTA SC’s legislative committee. She is also currently serving as one of the co-chairs for the Male Pelvic Health SIG within the Academy of Pelvic Health and recently completed service in the Academy's Health Impact, Access, and Equity Task Force. Over the past 4 years, Kristen has galvanized her passion for professional advocacy by shepherding the APTA SC Annual Advocacy Day from 100 participants interacting virtually to more than 300 participants in-person at the SC State House learning about grassroots advocacy and interacting with legislators. Additionally, Kristen has made connections with several PTA and DPT programs in South Carolina to increase exposure to pelvic heath in the educational curriculum.
