Professional Bio

Hello! I'm Jenna, a physical therapist specializing in pelvic health and lymphedema treatment. I offer both mobile (in-home) and clinic-based PT services in Philadelphia, as well as mobile services in southern New Jersey.

I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018. By the end of my training there, I knew that I wanted to specialize in pelvic health, and I completed my Women’s Health Residency at Good Shepherd Penn Partners the following year. There, I had the opportunity to work with patients with a wide range of diagnoses and to develop the skill and creativity I now bring to my work. I am on a mission to educate my patients about their own bodies and to make pelvic health care more accessible to all.

What sets me apart from other physical therapists goes far beyond my clinical expertise. I approach complex problems with curiosity, humility, and humor. I see myself not as a guru or healer who can “fix” people, but as someone who can provide tools to help the body function better from the inside out. I create a trauma-informed therapy environment where my patients feel they are safe, truly heard, and worthy of taking up space and investing in their own well-being. It is a great privilege to earn patients’ trust in such an intimate therapy setting, and this is a privilege I never take for granted.

Mentorship Services Description

Prior to my career as a PT, I earned my Ph.D. in English and taught college-level literature and academic writing for 10 years. While this background is unconventional in the PT world, I firmly believe that within every great PT is a great teacher. Not only do I love teaching, but I am highly skilled at adapting my communication and educational methods to match the unique needs of each patient or client.

My mentoring style is collaborative and informal, with emphasis on critically thinking through clinical decision-making, evidence-based practice, and challenging patient cases. I would also be excited to work with student PTs interested in pursuing a career in pelvic health and/or who are considering applying for residency (I completed my PT residency at Good Shepherd Penn Partners in 2019). While working at Penn, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a clinical instructor for a DPT student, as well as to participate in revising the pelvic health and lymphedema curriculum for clinical rotations.

Since I operate my own cash-based practice, my schedule is flexible and can typically accommodate a mentee's schedule.

I offer pro bono mentoring for student PTs and sliding scale fees for licensed PTs based on financial need. Feel free to reach out to discuss options!
