She completed a one-year scholarship program as a visiting researcher in the Department of Gastroenterology at Augusta University, USA. She is a recipient of the American Neurogastroenterology Motility Society Young Investigator Award.

Dr. Satish Rao is the J. Harold Harrison, MD, Distinguished University Chair in Gastroenterology at Augusta University, and past president of American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society. He graduated from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India and completed his PhD from the University of Sheffield, U.K., and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in London, U.K. Recently, the AGA Distinguished Mentor Award recipient.

Leila Neshatian is an Associate Clinical Professor at Stanford University, where she serves as the Medical Director of the Pelvic Health Center, Director of Neurogastroenterology and Motility, and Program Director of the hybrid neurogastroenterology fellowship. Her work focuses on elucidating the pathophysiology of functional lower gastrointestinal and pelvic floor disorders and on developing innovative methods to assess anorectal physiology and deliver personalized treatments.

Emily Jo Leverett, PT, DPT

Board-Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist 

Emily Leverett, PT, DPT is a graduate of Northwestern University’s DPT program and currently lives and works in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Emily’s clinical specialties and passions include pelvic health, cancer rehabilitation, and the athletic population. She is a board-certified Women’s Health clinical specialist, holds CAPP-Pelvic certification through the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (APHPT),and recently served as the Assistant Chair of the APHPT’s CAPP-Pelvic committee. Emily is on faculty with the APHPT and instructs in the didactic and lab-intensive pelvic health coursework, with a focus on content pertaining to bowel dysfunction and pelvic pain. Emily owns and operates a cash-based physical therapy practice, Empower You PT, where she treats clients on a part-time basis. She holds a CrossFit L2 trainer certificate and is a member of the coaching staff at her gym, CrossFit Expedition. Emily works full-time managing medical and surgical oncology practices for a major healthcare system in Columbus. She is passionate about education, especially as it pertains to the importance and benefits of pelvic health physical therapy.
