Professional Bio

Dr. Shelby Landrum PT, DPT obtained her Doctorate of physical therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2022. She has completed a post graduate residency in Orthopedics with the Department of Veteran Affairs, Pelvic Floor level 1A-2B through both Herman & Wallace as well as the APTA. Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise by Sarah Duvall, Pelvis Pro by Sarah Duvall, and is approved to test for her OCS in 2024. She is a mom of two, a recreational runner/lifter, serves as an Army officer and enjoys working with tactical athletes. She strives to bridge the gap between women’s health concerns and orthopedics. And also serves as an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor. She is also trained in mechanical diagnosis and treatment parts A and B.

Student Clinical Affiliation Description

DOD/DHA - Military Treatment Facility. Outpatient Clinic. Population dependent on operational tempo / needs of the DOD. Population can vary: from 100% active duty during times of high demand - but may also include dependents/families, and retirees. Subject to change: Schedule typically 7:30-4pm M-F. Needs to be clinical rotation 3 or 4 / due to tempo/volume of patient(s). Setting is rural.

Student Clinical Affiliation Requirements

PT students must have completed Pelvic Floor Level 1 coursework in order to evaluate patients with a pelvic floor diagnosis/referral. Completion of Orthopedic didactic work preferred. Preference given to students with current MOU on file - currently Baylor and Medical University of South Carolina.
