Professional Bio

Magbanua, a proud daughter of Filipino immigrants, was born and raised in New Jersey alongside her three older brothers. Passionate about education, she earned her B.A. in English Education with a minor in Fitness Education from Andrews University as a J. N. Andrews Scholar. She later pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University, where she embraced their mission of holistic healthcare.

Specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy, Magbanua is dedicated to helping patients experiencing urinary leakage, pelvic pain, fecal leakage, and vaginismus. She has a particular passion for supporting prenatal and postpartum patients as they navigate parenthood and self-care. Additionally, she is committed to serving the often-overlooked population of males experiencing pelvic pain and leakage. Magbanua proudly holds a Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health (CAPP-Pelvic). She believes that one of the most valuable gifts a clinician can provide their patients is knowledge, empowering them on their journey to recovery.

Beyond her work at Transit Physical Therapy and Precision in Movement, Magbanua is a passionate performer and musician. She is a musical theatre actress, pianist, flautist, and aerialist specializing in aerial silk. She also enjoys teaching children at Antioch Church, practicing Sabbath, traveling home to New Jersey for the holidays, and embracing new experiences.

Magbanua encourages everyone to discover the joy of movement. Whether it’s hiking, soccer, or Filipino line dancing, she believes we were all made to move—pain-free and joyously!
