Professional Bio

Dr. Amanda Shipley is the founder of Renew Pelvic Health in Atlanta, GA and has been a physical therapist for more than 20 years. She is passionate about preventing and healing pelvic floor issues and supporting her patients through the life transitions that affect the pelvic floor so strongly - pregnancy, postpartum, peri/menopause, and before/after surgery. She is working to change the standard of care so that pelvic physical therapy is part of a complete wellness strategy. Amanda has extensive experience working with joints, muscles, fascia, organs, and vasculature in order to help you get out of pain, stop leaking, prepare for or heal after surgery, and feel your best. In addition to seeing patients at her practice Amanda is the creator and host of the podcast Kumbay'all: The Whole Woman's Resource. Amanda is especially passionate about helping birthing people have as smooth a childbirth as possible while preventing future pelvic floor dysfunction. After having two unmedicated homebirths herself, she created her signature program - Progressive Pregnancy - where she helps women prepare their mind, body, and pelvic floor for the childbirth they desire.
