Practice Description

Barbara, our Coordinator of Women s Health Services, holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from New York University, and a Masters of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. She is a Board certified Women's Health Physical Therapist, is certified in the treatment and management of lymphedema, and has extensive training in advanced manual techniques for spinal pain and myofascial tissue injuries, management of complex pelvic pain and incontinence, and management of musculoskeletal problems related to pregnancy. Her nationally recognized research into treatment of blocked milk ducts in breastfeeding mothers demonstrates her dedication to finding new ways to promote women s health. Barbara has lectured on topics relating to wellness and women s health for local community groups, universities, and state and national physical therapy organizations. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, participating in its Women s Health, Orthopedic, Geriatric, and Oncology sections.
