Professional Bio
University of New Mexico. Since that time, she has been practicing orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Washington D.C. She became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2018 and a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women's Health Physical Therapy in 2024. She served as a director of the APTA’s Pregnancy and Postpartum Special Interest Group from 2023 to February 2025 and is currently
the Federal Affairs Liaison for Washington D.C. in the APTA. She enjoys teaching in various capacities including an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Science at George Washington University Physical Therapy program, a presenter on the continuing education platform Medbridge, and runs an OCS mentorship program at GWUH outpatient rehabilitation center.
Rachel is passionate in treating a variety of pelvic floor conditions in pregnancy, postpartum
patients, male pelvic health, post menopausal patients, and transgender patients. She continues to treat outpatient orthopedic patients with conditions ranging from chronic pain, sports injuries and postoperative diagnoses. Rachel graduated from Trinity University in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology. There, she played D3 soccer for 4 years and was the captain of her team during her senior year. In her free time she loves spending time with her family including her husband, nearly 4 year old and nearly 1 year old kiddos.
