Professional Bio

Dr. Tess is a Physical Therapist currently practicing at Doctors Hospital of Augusta Rehab Health Center. She focuses mostly on the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions in men and women. Since starting her career, Dr. Tess has taken post-graduate specialized courses to learn how to assess and treat dysfunctions of the pelvic floor muscles from both the APTA Pelvic Health and Herman & Wallace Pelvic Health Institute. Dr. Tess is also able to perform Trigger Point Dry Needling. You can occasionally find her teaching yoga around local studios, as she completed an Adaptive and Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training in the fall of 2022. She utilizes many yogic principles in her treatment strategies as she believes yoga helps with calming an on-edge nervous system as well as building mind-body connection in her patients.

When she is not treating patients, you can find her: cooking, reading, hiking, playing tennis, doing yoga, and spending time with her fiancé and two cats.
