Board-Certified Pelvic & Women's Health Clinical Specialist

Licensed PTs who meet advanced clinical requirements (pelvic & women's health residency or 2,000 patient hours in pelvic and women's health) and pass the PWCS specialty examination.

A licensed physical therapist (PT) who has completed either 2,000 hours of direct patient care in pelvic and women’s health or an ABPTRFE-accredited pelvic and women’s health clinical residency, submitted a written case reflection, and passed the PWCS specialty examination. The examination assesses advanced knowledge and clinical decision-making based on the Description of Specialty Practice (DSP). The PWCS credential is awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

The CAPP certificate is awarded by the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, the national professional association for pelvic health physical therapy professionals.
